"If there were only one resource available to the music ministry of our church (other than the Bible), it would most definitely be CCLI because they offer many helpful tools and information for the musician in ministry."

CopyReport

Some of the licences available from CCLI require the licence holder to report which songs/publications have been reproduced.  This is done by means of CopyReport, available on CD-ROM or as a download.   The information collected from CopyReport is used to calculate the royalties due to song writers and publishers and is therefore of vital importance. Without this information CCLI would not be able to pay accurate royalities to copyright owners.

Which licences should be reported to CCLI:

  • Church Copyright Licence (CCL) / Collective Worship Copyright Licence (CWCL)
If you reproduce the words of a song you must report this to CCLI. This includes printing the words on song sheets, service sheets, hand-writing them, creating OHP acetates, storing them on your computer for use with projection software and also if you audio/video record a service which includes the song.
